Unfortunately, this experience was one I surprisingly disappointed in. The underwriter he used lacked attention to detail and failed to communicate timely or effectively. The loan officer himself only seemed to learn of issues at the last minute, leaving the process in chaos. When my agent and the seller’s side sought updates, he dodged calls and sent vague texts saying things were ‘fine.’ I do appreciate his assistant, Barbara, always responding even though she could not resolve anything. Closing was delayed repeatedly, pushing me to the brink of homelessness before the loan finally went through. This was a stressful, unprofessional experience I would never recommend.
I’m so glad I got to work with Randy. He really helped to get me a great loan rate and close on time. I was transitioning jobs while moving and had no appreciation as to how difficult securing a loan could be under those situations. I don’t know how the sausage is made, but Randy’s team was able to get the loan closed on time. When I mentioned the situation to others, nobody I talked to thought it could be done, but some how Randy and his team did it. Similarly, people were shocked at how good a rate I was getting, and with rates being higher right now, that was huge. As a first-time homebuyer, I had done a lot of research so that I can make sure that i was prepared to tackle the homebuying process. I think you can only study up on the process to a certain point and it was a bit overwhelming at first. I talked through a few brokers -- some of which weren't very cooperative -- before finally finding Randy, and I’m really glad I did. Randy was patient, clear, and knowledgeable every step of the way. He made sure that I understood his explanations if I had any questions regarding the homebuying process. There was a time I messaged him with a question, not knowing he had a family emergency -- even then Randy made sure to notify me and got back to me on the same day. This was my first home buying experience. I started this process having very little idea of how everything works out, but Randy and his team were more than willing to walk us through each step in a way that made sense. Randy could teach a master class in making sure you have all of the information you need without over complicating anything. I don't know how we would have gotten through the process, let alone how fast we did, without the constant support from Randy and his team. Buying you first home, or any home for that matter, is a big deal, and Randy's team made it as calm and comfortable as possible, and I could not imagine ever using anyone else!

Not only was he an expert in his field as our mortgage broker and in VA Loans, but he was our go-to guy for every single aspect of the process!
